The FHM Tomboy

FHM Taiwan revealed their 2009 Top 100 sexiest woman this week.  Topping the list was last year’s winner Lin Zhi Ling (林志玲).  She was once again followed by Jolin Tsai (蔡依玲) and Megan Fox.  Why a white girl is in there I don’t know.  It’s not like Lin Zhi Ling nor Jolin would ever make it into the FHM America’s Top 1,000.

A pretty boring outcome meaning that the media had to dig deep to make this story a bit more interesting.  They dug as far as finding out that when the polls first opened Ella Chen was actually leading the vote count but by the end she had dropped out of the top 50.  I like how they make a point of Ella being first at some stage.

For those of you who haven’t been introduced to the digital pop creation S.H.E, Ella is known as being the tomboy of this girl band.   She has even had to play a girl pretending to be a boy in order to go to an all boys school to chase after her dream guy in the series Hanakimi (花樣少年少女).  I feel sorry for Ella sometimes that she will forever have this tomboy label attached to her.  I really do think there is some fine print in her contract that says she is forbidden to grow her hair out , that she needs to wear pants 90% of the time and that she needs to speak with a low pitched boyish voice.  I suspect those were the contract terms she needed to sign so that Selina and Hebe could get all the attention from the male fans.

PersonallyI think Ella is the coolest S.H.E girl.  She can rap, play basketball, is loud  and crazy but most importantly doesn’t talk to her dogs with a wawa doll voice.  I’m happy to say she actually beat Hebe and Selina in the polls coming in at 54.  With legs like this I think she deserves it!
